ealing with a broken marriage (for some) can be one of the hardest situations to deal with, especially if it ends suddenly without warning, you have children, or you were the one who was left.


At the start, you may spend the time in shock, worry, fear and have sleepless nights, going over it again and again in your head, thinking how things could have been different. Well, you can cope, and here are 5 things to remember to help you on your way.

Yes, we are special, but the problem with this, of course, is that as you think of your future after the breakdown of a marriage, you can buy into your penniless future of loneliness and heartbreak. However, remember, whatever you are thinking about your future – it hasn’t happened yet.


What I have noticed is that we are not very good at predicting what will happen in the future. Usually you will be predicting your future based on thoughts of the past, which no longer exist. So how can you truly know what will happen? You cannot – thoughts will pop up. But your thoughts are not always an accurate predictor of the future – so it’s all good!
