Knowing your child’s personality will make it easier for all of you S

O HOW do you actually do this? The first step is really finding out what kind of child or children are they! So metaphorically speaking, what kind of bird is your child, that’s ready to spread its wings:

3. Are they talkative but look to keep everyone happy?

4. Are they sharp and alert and don’t miss anything?

5. Are they curious and inquisitive because they want to make things better?

situation. So let’s start with the real basis of human needs.

Communication - let them know throughout, what’s going on without belittling your partner.

Love and connection – Even when two people have grown apart, there is still a need for a child to feel a part of something, to feel connected. Be that child to know how to tackle that situation.

Certainty and comfort – give your child some certainty; something as simple as just doing all the things that you did with them before the divorce, let them know that you are there by being there. Talk to them about what’s going on inside. And lastly, GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY. See what they see, feel what they feel, hear what they hear.
