POLICIES ON ALCOHOL & ACCOMMODATIONS
The Spokane Parks & Recreation Department-sponsored trips and activities are designed to provide members of the Spokane community -- families, friends and individuals alike - with safe, relaxing and enjoyable sports and entertainment experiences. To insure these goals, the Park Department has established a policy of prohibiting the possession and use of alcohol or other drugs while in trip vehicles or program facilities. In addition, smoking (in any form) is also prohibited. Your cooperation in adhering to these policies is greatly appreciated.
The Spokane Parks & Recreation Department does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, creed, national origin or disability. Please notify the Park Department if you need special accommodations to participate in our programs.
AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
In providing services to the public the City must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a federal anti- discrimination statute, designed to remove barriers that prevent qualified individuals with disabilities from discrimination on the basis of disability in the services, programs, or activities of local governments. The ADA provides comprehensive civil rights protection to individuals with disabilities. For information regarding the ADA and the regulations on non- discrimination on the basis of disability in state and local government services, 28 CFR Part 35, and its applicability to the services, programs, or activities of the City, please contact Dorothy Webster at 625.6262.
