new and exciting elements for 2013. This year the Fair has a brand new web site. Some of the other NEW items this year include: Three awesome concerts: Saturday, November 9, is Florida Dairy Farmers Day and it’s Ca-
sey James in concert at 8:00PM inside the Tommy Lawrence Arena. FREE show with your paid admission to the Fair. Tuesday, November 12, it’s the Platters AND the Original Drifters
singing all of their hits from the 50s & 60s. Shows at 3:00PM &7:00PM featuring 45 minutes of music from each of these great groups. This is also Seniors Day sponsored by Humana Health Care 55+ get in for only $6.00 and gates open at 11:00 AM. Both WROD & WNDB will be at the Fair with games and prizes. Admission to the Concerts are FREE with your paid Fair Admission Saturday, November 16 is Republic Services Day & DG Meyer
Day. Diamond Rio is in Concert at 8:00PM inside the Tommy Law- rence Arena and is FREE with your paid Fair Admission. New this year: Adam Putnam, Commissioner of Agriculture & Consumer Services
Day on Friday Nov. 8. First year of DeLand Clarion Hotel/Volusia County Fair Fly-ins with
special Hotel/Fair packages for private pilots for each concert date during the Fair. Extreme Illusions & Escapes on the Volusia County Recycles/DG
Meyer Outside Stage on the Circle. Rock-it- the Robot is back after several years. This 9’ Robot is a
virtual hit every time he makes an appearance Roller Coaster that was located at “South of the Border”, SC. It has
been refurbished by Deggeller Attractions. A 100’ Sky Swing is a great new spectacular ride by Deggeller At-
tractions Fair Theme is “Celebrating 500 years of Florida History”. Returning this year: Opening Day of Fair is FREE gate Admission sponsored by Bright
House & Duke Energy Dennis Lee Band on the Volusia Recycles/DG Meyer Outside Cir-
cle Stage. This is a very entertaining and fun act to watch. Kandu Magic Show loaded with fun for kids of all ages. Sea Lions Splash Show is coming back and was a huge favorite. Rust & Flames-Blacksmith Shop where kids can actually watch a
horseshoe being made just for them. Jessie the Pig will be walking around and saying “Hi” to everyone
and be available for pictures with your kids whenever you want to take that picture. Florida Dairy Farmers Association and Ag Village and their Merry

The Southwest Florida and Lee County Fair Association has named
Fran Crone as their new Fair Man- ager. Being a native of Lee Coun- ty, Fran recently returned to her home town after living in North Flor- ida for almost 20 years. Fran has a diverse background in manage- ment, bringing with her 13 years experience with the City of Fernan- dina Beach, working as an Assis- tant to the City Manager and later as a Legal Assistant to the City Attorney. Prior experience also includes running a family owned boat/motor dealership business, as well as 14 years with the City of Fort Myers, the last of which were as the Operations Manager for the Parks & Beautification Department. Fran began her career with the Southwest Florida and Lee
County Fair Association on a part-time basis, helping out with office organization, as well as policy and procedure structure and revisions for the Board of Trustees. Fran's involvement grew as her knowledge grew. Fran welcomes this new role and is excited for the opportunity
to learn and become part of our fabulous industry. Fran is married to Randy Crone, and collectively they have three children. Fran loves the outdoors and loves spending time with their children, Kimberly, Matthew, and Jacob, and grand daughter, Mya. Fran and Randy enjoy traveling in their spare time. "
