Staying Put? Who Do You Trust?
If you’re considering refurbishing or extending your property, how do you make sure that you’re working with a quality builder in an industry that has a reputation for cowboys or unscrupulous traders?
A company known for setting benchmarks within the industry is Probuild360. They’ve delivered a level of service, integrity, openness and care to an industry that isn’t necessarily known for it. A major factor in their success lies in their ability to mix both spectrums of the industry to the benefit of the client. They offer the quality, reputation and service of larger companies with the personal approach of the individuals and smaller companies – and it’s that middle ground that until now, no other company has been able to offer.
We asked, Bahram, the brains behind Probuild360, what questions to ask and what to look for in a builder/contractor?
Bahram - Probuild360
“Everyone understands that they should get several quotes, people will eliminate the cheapest or most expensive for what they think are obvious reasons, but whilst budget is the main consideration for many, there are other factors that will have a knock-on effect on costs down the line and should not be ignored”.

Bahram goes on to explain, “’Qualified’ testimonials should be sought, examples of work should be available to you, but during your meeting also use the time to talk to them about your ideas and judge whether they really understand your vision and needs, whether they can interpret what you need and add value to your plans? More often than not, we interpret a client’s needs and come up with creative ways of achieving their goals and often exceeding expectations. Have they talked to you about future proofing your build in terms of technology available etc? Are other contractors involved such as kitchen suppliers etc At Probuild360 we work well with other contractors, we have several we recommend as they have the same quality and care ethos and reputation as us such as but further more we manage all of the build for our clients – do you have the time and
ability to project manage every aspect of your project especially when several different contractors are involved and may work to their own rules, timing without consideration of who it effects the rest of the build?”
On the topic of payment, often a contentious issue within the industry, Bahram has strong views and great advice, “It’s our transparency that clients appreciate and something that I recommend people address during that first meeting. We create critical paths and plans that both the customer and we agree to. Both parties understand what work is to take place on which days and scheduled times and we create a payment plan that is agreed in advance so that clients are never left in a situation where they pay for work that hasn’t been done or completed – which gives an extra level of confidence to the customer. It’s this transparency and openness that clients really appreciate and that you should look for.”
It’s that attention to detail, the ideas and ability to create that wow factor, combined with an unrivalled level of service and commitment to quality that has seen Probuild360 grow significantly over the years via client recommendations and word of mouth.
