»Workshop is to help boost the environmental performance of businesses A
s long-standing members of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Mabbet
is delighted to work in partnership with the Chamber and its membership to deliver How To… workshops on environmental management, a topic of increasing importance to the business community. Mabbet specialises in the
design and implementation of energy, environmental and health, engineering and safety solutions to assist clients to manage business risk and reduce business costs. In 2012, through delivery of a range of business improvement measures but also sustainability, energy and resource efficiency, Mabbet identified nearly £23 million of savings and more than 80,000 tonnes of carbon equivalent savings for their clients. As a business, Mabbet
recognises the growing importance of improving environmental performance and reducing environmental impact for a variety of reasons. Tese include reducing business overhead costs as utility costs rise, the increasing burdens of
environmental legislation and increasing client and/or stakeholder expectations which may include development of a formal environmental management system to ISO 14001. Mabbet hopes to address some
of these challenges which fellow Chamber members may also be
