Castles, Villas Chapels and churches The hilltops of Illasi Valleys are dotted with remains of castles, dating mainly back to medieval times. The many noble villas found in Illasi Valleys are remnants of bygone golden eras including the Renaissance. The religious history of an area is always the most obvious historical and artistic heritage of an area, a vast amount of churches and chapels decorated with rich frescoes.


…walking, trekking, biking, horse riding Visitors can enjoy walking the paths across the pastures up to the mountain refuges, cycling along the plains scattered with vineyards, olive groves and cherry orchards, or riding horseback in the mountain meadows As the Illasi Valleys area climbs from the plains to the mountains, it offers an infinite number of options for walking routes. Using the Illasi Valleys app, visitors will be able to discover the valleys and find a link to the digital mapping of the area. These maps show over 4000 miles of pathways and routes and may be consulted on-line or downloaded.
