1 Day: Arrival to (Apulia): Arrival to Bari airport pick up your car and drive to Conversano at Corte Altavilla hotel. Check in. You can relax and recover for jet leg in the Spa of the hotel - Enjoy the the Thermarium Spa with a personalized Treatments Program at the villa, and feel your troubles slowly fade away. Our hint: In the evening, try the restaurant “Goffredo” The restaurant offers a superior menu with an excellent choice of regional and national wines. It is located on the terrace of the hotel with a nice view on the lanes of the old town. 2 Day: Conversano. All day dedicated to discover Conversano. I love this medieval city with touches of baroque with its medieval churches, baroque palaces and the huge Castle overlooking the sea and.. more then anything else the “Piazza” the real place where everybody gathers and meets. Our hint: The best restaurant located in the Piazza del Castello is the Pascia’ the downstair bistrot and upstair gourmet restaurant. 3 Day: Castel del Monte and wine tasting-Trani. We suggest to start your visit to the countryside with a easy pace. This day is dedicated to the wine's production. You will go to Castel del Monte area where a very good DOC wine is produced. Visit Castel del Monte, the impressive, mysterious manor commissioned by Federico II of Swabia. Visit the facilities and cellars of “Cantine Carpentiere”. Wine tasting combined with local products (burratine, caciocavallo, olives, tarralli and tomatoes bruschette with olives oil). Going on to Trani for a stroll through the lanes of the old town, starting from the seaport, located between two small promontories: one dominated by the Sant’Antonio blockhouse, the other by the cathedral. The latter is an excellent example of Apulian Romanesque style. Visit to All Saints’ church. Trani is also known for the production of the sweet wine “Moscato di Trani”. Back in Conversano Another great restaurant for the dinner is “Mangiare divino“ 4 Day: Ostuni, Martina Franca. After breakfast, departure to Ostuni. Meander through the ‘white town’, stop for shopping in typical artisan shops and visit the 15thcentury cathedral. Next comes the town of Martina Franca. Stroll through the historical center and visit the main palaces (16th- 17th centuries). Visit to the St Martin's collegiate church, Duke's Palace, St Dominic's church and the church of Carmine. Our hints: The almond milk is delicious here! Stop for lunch at “agriturismo Il Portico” to taste Apulian vegetables. 5 Day:
Alberobello.Alberobello famous for it's Trulli, cone-shaped houses, traditionally built in the region. Start in the town's main square and visit to the Trullo Sovrano, D'Amore house, Aia Piccola medieval-style quarter, Monti quarter as well as a visit to the Trullo
Siamese.Return in the evening to Conversano. Dinner on your own.We suggest you to taste a pizza (40 metres from the hotel). 6 Day: Lecce. After breakfast depart to Lecce (1 ½ hour drive) Take the littorranea E55 and drive south. On the way you can stop to Fasano and to Brindisi. Parco Naturale Regionale Salina di Punta Contessa is worth a visit then reach Lecce and check in at hotel Acaia resort. 8 Day: Lecce. The city is so beautiful that we will suggest to spend a whole day there! Lecce is a Baroque city. The interesting presence of a great number of monuments gives to this city a nickname: “The Florence of the South”. Here the baroque is expressed in an unique way. Our Hint: If you have a sweet tooth you sure appreciate the “pasticciotto” a little short pastry cake filled with cream (delicious when it’s hot), or you could choose among the infinite variety of almond paste. 9 Day: (optional day). a day to relax or for walking and biking in the nature of the WWF Cesine Nature Reserve. The hotel has a wonderful golf and you can play your 18 holes. 9 /10 Day: Back to Bar. Visit the Old city then spend the night to your hotel close to the airport. 11 Day: end of services.
