BAGLIO SAN VINCENZO – Menfi (Agrigento) Set in the centre of a territory that is named for its archaeological, monumental, rural and bathing characteristics, the Baglio (name for ancient Sicilian farms) is situated on a promontory overlooking the homonymous S.Vincenzo river. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, citrus orchards, brooms and daisies, the Baglio boasts strong typical Mediterranean colours and wonderful panoramic views against a blue sea setting. The 12 rooms are furnished accordingly to the local tradition: the suites have a panoramic terrace and the rooms look on to the blooming Sicilian country. The restaurant is situated in the old cellar where there is still a millstone of the seventeenth century used to crush grapes.


CASALE DEL PRINCIPE – San Giuseppe Jato The Casale del Principe farm is situated in the Jato Valley. The original nucleus of the farm was the 16th century watchtower, which was converted into a Jesuit monastery in the 18th century, and later into a fortified farmhouse. The apart- ments are all furnished in an exquisite rustic style, where guests can enjoy a - well-deserved rest. The restaurant is the ideal place to savour the excellent traditional cuisine with ancient recipes and genuine local flavours. The farm organises some cultural activities as pottery, traditional local cookery, riding courses, pony- trekking and mountain biking excursions. Guests can also join in with farming activities: the grape and olive harvest and fruit or vegetable picking.


EREMO DELLA GIUBILIANA – Ragusa Eremo della Giubiliana is charming hotel set in a historical residence, a few kilometers south of Ragusa, among carob forests and stone walls.Its tall white tower overlooks miles and miles of coast as far as the eye can see.The estate used to be part of an old convent dating from the 12th century, was restored respecting the original plans, taking care to preserve original materials The rooms have been converted from the monks' cells, and have all the modern amenities, furnished with Sicilian period furniture and original family relics that make them quite different from the usual bedroom. The cuisine, personally managed by the owners, is typical of the aristocratic landowners of the Ragusano plateau, made from products which are rigorously grown in the old vegetable garden.


BAGLIO SPANO' - Marsala BAGLIO SPANO' dates back to XVIII century when it was used as a summer residence by the noble family Montalto-Spanò. Entirely surrounded by citrus trees, an old farm road reaches its main entrance with the preserved ancient door. A courtyard separates the farmhouse with its guest rooms from the warehouses which were once used to store the grapes and produce wine. The building has two floors. On the ground floor you can find the breakfast room, a di- ning room in the restructured wine cellar, while The guest-rooms and the sitting room are situated on the second floor The bedrooms are furnished with beautiful furniture characterized by magnificent hand made decorated floors.


GIGLIOTTO - Piazza Armerina Surrounded by green hills, not far from the slopes of the volcano Etna, on a marvellous hill hanging between time and space, it rises the Agriturismo Gigliotto The farm-house, an ancient monastery of 1300, now renovated offers 14 rooms (of which one for handicapped) pleasant furnished with sicilian furnitures. The restructure has been made in the respect of the traditional architectures where arches, small square, old beams and walls recreate the ancient and warm atmosphere
