This 3 hour walking tour you will see the most famous sites of the city. This itinerary begins at Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Farnese, Palazzo Spada, Piazza Navona. Within 10 minutes walking, we will reach the Piazza della Rotona housing the unmistakable structure of the Pathenon. We will then cross the Via del Corso, an in just minutes, we are at the Trevi fountain. A true masterpiece and certainly the most famous and spectacular fountain in Rome. The itinerary starts with a visit of the Roman Catholic titular church and the minor basilica of Saint Peter in Chains, best known for being the home of the world famous Statue of Moses by Michelangelo. Crossing the Imperial Avenue we will see the Trajan Column. We continue to Piazza Venezia with the imposing “Vittoriano”, a monument built to honor Victor Emanuel, the first king of a united Italy. After this stop we will walk up to arrive in Piazza del Campidoglio. We will then walk down Via del Campidoglio to Via San Teodoro to have a view of the Roman Forum as well as the whole complex of the Forum & Coliseum. Visit beautiful Arch of Janus and then the Church of San Giorgio al Velabro where, according to tradition, the basket with the twins Romulus and Remus was found. Discover the era that changed the face of Rome! The Baroque Era! The itinerary begins at Trinità dei Monti, we will descend the legendary stairs of the Spanish Steps. In the center of the square, you will admire the Fontana della Barcaccia. Walking through Via Condotti, we cross Piazza del Parlamento, and walk to Piazza Colonna Proceed then to Piazza di Pietra, with the Temple of Hadrian and Piazza della Rotonda housing the unmistakable structure of the Pantheon. Tour continues with the inside visit of two of the most beautiful Baroque Churches: Sant’Ignazio di Loyola, with the huge ceiling frescoed by Father Andrea Posso, and San Luigi dei Francesi with the three world-renowned cycle paintings by Caravaggio. The tour will end with a visit of the renaissance Church of Sant’Agostino to admire, among other things, one of the most famous paintings by Caravaggio: La Madonna di oreto. St.Angelo in Pescheria. After the visit to the Jewish Ghetto, we will walk on the Ponte Fabricio and we arrive shortly at Tiberina Island. Heading into the most famous and ancient parts of Rome, Trastevere. This area needs no introduction, it is famous for its restaurants and pubs and for the magic atmosphere, especially in the evening. We will officially “enter” Trastevere through Piazza in Piscinula and Via Arco dei Tolomei. For a perfect end of this itinerary we will walk down Via della Lungaretta where we'll arrive at the square where we find the Basilica of St. Maria in Trastevere.. We will go inside the
