farmer at Capestone Organic Poultry Farm,Walwyn’s Castle, wasannounced as the Welsh win- ner of the Marks &Spencer ‘Farming forthe Future’ awards at the RoyalWelsh Show. The M&S Farming forthe
Futureprogramme and awards champion sustainability and innovation in agriculture. The awardjudges were impressed with his local community engagement programme,excellent health and welfarestandards and the farm’s strong relationships with local primary schools to help educate children on the important link between food and farming.

THERE were plenty of attractions to keep the whole family entertained at the Royal Welsh Show. As well as the Kangaroo Kid and Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, there were also falconry displays, Meirion Owen and his ever-popular Quack Pack, music by the regimental band and corps of the the Royal Welsh, and aspectacular RAF BBMF Hurricane display.
