as an education provider in the Canadian fitness industry. We encourage all fitness club staff members, owners and managers to attend. FBC staff will be at our booth during trade show hours, so please drop by for a chat! Also, be sure to visit the booths of many of our advertisers
F
at the show profiling an extensive range of products and services (see “Trade Show Spotlight” on page 34).
On page 14 of this issue you’ll find conference highlights including those for
“Club Owners’ Day” which is presented specifically for club owners, operators and managers. This year FBC is sponsoring the panel presentation “Looking Through the
Fitness Industry Crystal Ball” (Friday, August 16th from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm). Join industry experts as they discuss the successes that brought them to where they are today, and their vision for the road ahead. Following the presentation will be a networking reception sponsored by canfitpro (join us for complimentary drinks and appetizers!) In June, FBC launched the 2013 Canadian Health Club Survey in partnership
with IHRSA (International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association), Fitness Industry Canada and canfitpro. We are pleased to report a strong response from fitness clubs across Canada. All data was collected by Industry Insights, a research company contracted to collect and analyze the survey responses. An initial presentation and overview of survey highlights will be made at the
canfitpro conference panel presentation referenced above. The full report will be available to club owners this fall.
rom August 16-17, FBC will be onsite at the annual canfitpro International Fitness and Club Business Conference and Trade Show in Toronto (August 14-18). This year’s show marks canfitpro’s 20th anniversary
