ROLE: Serves as Interior lighting designer/ inspector at site, responsible to and under the direction of the PM and interior designer and project architect.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinate Construction drawings, specifi cation, project program, design concepts, details etc to maintain the established lighting design goal.
• Must have a working knowledge of Autocad drawings, Dialux or AGI and MS offi ce suite.
• Liaise with lead lighting designer and interior design team to develop alternative design solution and documentation to coordinate with site condition.
• Review of engineering drawing, electrical rise diagram and wirings, and specifi cation.
• Review of contractor’s shop drawings, lighting and control equipment submittal
• Site visits to coordinate lighting with mechanical, structural or other conditions/confl icts, pre-focus inspections and fi nal supervision of the focus and adjustment of all lighting and control equipment. • Prepare progress report, submittal log, and RFI log for CS team.
QUALIFICATION: • Electrical Engineer or Lighting Designer. Previous site experience. • 10+ years site background • Good English Language & Skills

Based in central London (Holborn), award winning lighting design consultancy Elektra are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our talented and supportive team. You will learn through working alongside senior experienced lighting designers on large scale projects with personalized training and development. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with experience in lighting or lighting-related fi elds to join the team. The position may require some European and travel further afi eld.
Candidates should have a University degree – perhaps in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design or Product Design. You should be fully competent in all or most of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Offi ce, Dialux and Adobe Indesign. 1- 2 years of previous work experience in a lighting design consultancy is advantageous. You should be creative, independent and self-motivated with good presentation skills. You must have good English, with other languages a benefi t.

Nouran: Concept Lighting is on the hunt to recruit a new team-member to help deliver a rapidly expanding project pipeline. Based out of the corporate HQ located in Dubai, the successful candidate will be a dynamic and progressive, team oriented lighting designer with a minimum of four years of experience at a recognized lighting design consultancy. This is a position for a candidate looking to launch the next phase of their career by experiencing the ‘bigger picture’ of lighting design.
In addition to creatively spearheading a project from concept through completion, this role provides stimulating career growth for a designer wanting more client-facing time. This is a position for a designer wanting to learn more about onsite interaction with other third party consultants from a variety of architectural disciplines. It is also a position for a designer wanting to understand the intricate commercial aspects of ensuring design intent is protected throughout the tender phase and consequently the tender award process. This position may require travel across the Arabian Gulf most notably to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
Preferred applicants will hold a degree in Architecture, Lighting Design or even Electrical Engineering. They will also have demonstrable skills in Autocad, Dialux and/or Agi32 as well as be fl uency in 3d Max or Photoshop as well as the MS Offi ce Suite.
