102 TECHNOLOGY / EUROLUCE MADE IN MILAN A selection of pieces shown at this year’s Euroluce.

Carmen Panzeri

The Carmen ceiling lamp offers indirect LED lighting delivered from adjustable arms, enamelled in metallic white or black. Its simple form, along with Panzeri’s careful selection of colours, creates a soft and diffused light while allowing the designer to create the desired look. www.panzeri.it

iCementi Lucifero’s

Micro-Rail Metal Spot

Metal Spot has shifted in recent years to concentrate on a much more archi- tectural family of lights, including the Micro-Rail. This 24V electrified rail track system (max load 10A) is made in white painted metacrylate, copper conductors. Light sources are fixed in place by a magnet system. Quick and easy to install, its minimum dimensions allow it to be used in reduced spaces such as niches, exhibition windows and shelves while delivering high luminous efficiency. www.metalspot.com

With the aim of continuing to provide essential line lighting appliances but also to exceed the limits placed on creativity by the progressive decrease to the minimum of the forms, Lucife- ro’s has focused its research on the use of materials other than metal. Made in Piumacemento® (patent protected material), a material that resembles concrete but that exceeds its limits of use in terms of weight because it is only partly made of cement, iCementi was conceived from the need to find new ways to offer the designer a full range of different products, yet more suitable than has been available until now for maximum integration within his works. www.luciferos.it

Skill Simes

At only 3cm deep, Skill can be wall mounted without the need for a recessed housing. It uses an LED light source to provide a warm white 3000K illumination. It is available either in square version of 105 mm and 200 mm, or in round version with Ø115 mm or Ø220 mm. www.simes.com

Smile Wever & Ducre

Wever & Ducré’s Smile grins into a space, delivering a 3000K white light. The family of fixtures includes re- cessed, surface-mounted and horizontal wall mounted pieces, suitable for both indoors and outdoors. www.wever-ducre.com

Bat Torremato

Bat is a collection of strongly outdoor luminaires designed to “hide” them- selves among the bushes and flower- beds during the day, but reveal them- selves at night a soft light, directed downwards to aid wayfinding or provide an unobtrusive glow. www.torremato.com
