A
nother must-see at the Lake stage (and another headliner
for that matter) are Te 1975. Who? Well, they are four men from Manchester doing the whole indie- synthy-dance-pop thing entirely in their own way. It’s working very well for them.
If I played you their single Chocolate – I’m confident you’d recognise the chorus hook: “We’re never gonna quit it, no we're never gonna quit it no”.

THEY’RE THE SOUND TRACK TO YOUR TEENAGE HOUSE
Here’s the thing – Te 1975 may not be game- changing in the grand scheme of life, but they’re super, SUPER fun. Tey’re the sound track to your teenage house party, the band you play on your MP3 player for an instant pick-me-up, the distant sound that blares from your friend’s boom box while you make awkward relations in a one man tent.
Tey’re the perfect choice for closing the Lake Stage on Sunday night. It’ll be the (metaphorical) firework display that everyone waits around for. Even the spray- painted sheep will be bopping in the field next door.
2013 is the year of Te 1975… which sounds a bit like a brain teaser doesn’t it? But what I’m trying to say (clearly, very eloquently), is that you will kick yourself for not watching this band, on this stage, at this festival, this year.
And I will personally kick you if you do not stop by the Lake Stage at some point during your Latitude adventure.

HUW STEPHENS
“Latitude is such a great festival, I always manage to see some amazing things I wouldn’t otherwise go and see. I've been curating the Lake Stage since the first year, and am pleased that BBC Introducing in Suffolk get involved every year with the curating. Te brief I was given was to book as many new, under the radar artists for the stage, to make it a bit different and exciting. I jumped at the chance, and it's one of my favourite times of the year.”
