America, South America and the Nordic countries. Metso’s partnership with ZPR has included numerous projects in recent years. On several occasions, the company has applied Metso’s technology to increase the effi ciency of its processes. Now, using fully automati c real-ti me sampling and standard ti trati on


the latest generati on of fully- automati c ti trators for chemical recovery opti misati on. In additi on to well-proven causti cising measurements, it may feature as an opti on online reducti on degree measurement technology. This, together with process opti mising controls, enables more environmentally-friendly recovery boiler operati on, higher process throughput, maximum upti me as well as savings in cleaning chemical and fresh lime costs. The Rosenthal pulp mill is a


subsidiary of Mercer Internati onal Inc. With its associated companies Zellstoff Stendal GmbH and Zellstoff Celgar Limited, ZPR is one of the leading manufacturers of northern bleached soft wood kraft pulp in the world.


Repeat tissue line order from Syktyvkar


Syktyvkar Tissue Group in Russia has ordered a complete ti ssue producti on line from Metso for its new mill, which is about 220km from Moscow. It follows a previous installati on


by Metso of an Advantage DCT 100 ti ssue machine in 2007 and a major ti ssue machine rebuild during 2012. The ti ssue line will have a width of 2.7m and an operati ng speed of 2,000 m/min to add capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year of bathroom ti ssue, napkin and towel grades. Start-up is expected in mid-

complete high-speed ti ssue producti on line featuring an Advantage DCT 100 HS ti ssue machine equipped with an Opti Flo headbox, a Metso cast iron Yankee cylinder and an Advantage AirCap Yankee hood. Metso will also supply stock preparati on equipment including an Opti Finer conical refi ner, Opti Screen cleaning and screening technology and converti ng broke equipment. The order will also include an


electrifi cati on package, pumps, agitators, instruments, a vacuum system and white water handling. The delivery will include basic and


detail engineering for the new ti ssue machine and services for installati on and start-up of the machine. Furthermore, Metso will supply Metso DNA automati on for process, machine and drive controls and Metso IQ quality controls. Syktyvkar Tissue Group is a leading supplier of ti ssue products in Russia with a market share of around 10 per cent and annual producti on of about 45,000 tonnes of ti ssue.
