strange as it seems in retrospect, since coming to World Missionary evangelism (WMe), i have experienced every one of the perils that Paul listed as part of his missionary experience — and i can add “in perils in the air” to that list. it’s not quite what i had anticipated, but there you are. i have now been with WMe for fourteen years, which is much longer than my tenure at any single previous position in the ministry or within industry. yet the time has passed so quickly, it seems like i arrived here only yesterday. so what have i seen...what have i learned...what do i foresee for WMe missions work?


the two biggest international events i have witnessed since coming to WMe as president are the attack on the World trade Center towers in 2001 and the more recent ongoing financial crisis. the september 11 attack was shocking because americans never thought we could be attacked by a foreign power on our own shores. this was a religious war that was not on anybody’s radar screen, and religious wars were supposed to be the
