Through WME’s Missions In India! TESTIMONY #1 (from a leper) My name is Chandrama. i am 63 years old. My husband died from tuberculosis. i am a leprosy patient. begging is my livelihood.


i had only one daughter. in the year my daughter gave birth, she died from an ill- ness. immediately after her death, the baby’s father remarried and left my grandchild with me. i was feeding the child with much struggle and suffering by begging. now the child is growing, and i fear very much for my granddaughter’s future. Who will take care of this child after me?


our leper community elders took this problem to a WMe worker who preaches god’s love and gives us medical help. he asked about my problem, and i explained every- thing. immediately, he took my granddaughter and me to a WMe Children’s home. there i met the WMe staff. i told them about the child and my problems, and they promised to take care of the child. now, my granddaughter is staying and studying in the WMe Children’s home. i believe she will have a bright future in the WMe home.
