ACE: so there you are, back in the same village one year later. What had changed in hilgi?

VICTORIA: Well, there were definitely some big changes. the difference one year made completely surprised me! the first time we visited hilgi, a small group of men and women gathered on the open patio of a nearby farmhouse. the simple sermon for that meeting was based on acts 17:26-27, and the holy spirit touched the hearts of the people attending.

after that visit, a regular sunday worship service began in the village, and the local people came to receive prayers of healing. now there are eight mission- aries in the village, men with simple but real faith who are dedicated to god’s work and have a heart for these people. the ministers came to the area under WMe’s national director for india to reach out and spread the good news of Jesus and his love for all people.

now, the farm has expanded to cover a greater area and employ more locals. in fact, the project has proved to be such a success story, governmental enti- ties finally brought in basic utilities and aid that was non-existent and impossi- ble to get only one year before. the community is thrilled with all this progress, to say the least.

ACE: did anything special take place while you were there this last time?
