WMe Missions Change the impossible into the Possible
through Faith. you Can do the same thing With Faith in your life as Well!
ers), kids around us grow up, loved ones pass away. these are changes we expect, although we don’t always know when.
but what about changes you don’t see coming? you unexpectedly lose your job, you find out a family member is sick, maybe your spouse decides to leave. these aren’t merely “changes”; these are slaps in the face of your reality. they are hard to deal with. they are changes that we’d rather not have to adapt to. Personally, i had to adapt to life as a single mom. others must adapt to life without a child or deal with the death of a spouse.
how do we deal with changes that we want and don’t want? i think change is hard for us because we are looking for stability in the wrong places. some look to spouses for stability, others look to a job, some look to friends and family. but the truth is, if we spend our time looking for stability in our circum- stances, we will never be happy. the only stability we can count on is from our relationship with Jesus Christ.
the bible says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. We will change. our circumstances will change. Jesus is the only thing in our lives that will not change. he is our constant. We must look to him to provide stability for our lives. he will be there to walk with us through every change of life.
so if you’re going through changes right now that you’d rather not deal with, just remember this: although waves may be crashing around you, if you focus your eyes on Jesus, he will see you through. the same lord who said, “Peace be still,” and calmed the literal waves of the sea has the power to calm the raging sea of your life.
