1. Falmec’s E.ion Marilyn extractor features a sensor that can detect a drop in the domestic environmental air quality and activate the hood automatically. It uses a natural ionisation technology of air purification to remove dust, pollen, pollution and bacteria as well as eliminate cooking odours, grease and steam and shows whether the air is clear with a light that fades from orange to green. the humidity as it cooks all different kinds of food and a six-sensor probe that checks the heat inside the food not inside the oven.

Washing machines and dishwashers also offer intelligent control systems for ease of use, time-saving benefits and lower running costs. Machines such as Siemens i-Dos washing machine can detect a load’s size, the different types of fabric contained in it and the level of soiling, then calculate the perfect washing sequence and

duration with the precise temperature, detergent dose and water needed. The DVH1180GJ dishwasher from the De Dietrich’s Premium Collection will automatically assess the type of detergent used and the dirt level of the dishes and will choose the optimum water and temperature required for the load.

Many tumble dryers also offer sensor drying, where the programme is stopped once the laundry reaches the desired dryness level.
