Dyson has followed up its Airblade hand dryer (as increasingly seen in all good public toilets) with the Airblade tap which allows the user to wash and then dry their hands. Containing a small motor in the base of the tap, a jet of pressurised air is provided from the ‘wings’ on either side of the spout which dry hands quickly and effectively. It has a hefty £999 price tag so is very much a premium product, but it has been designed with home use in the kitchen or bathroom, as well as public washroom use in mind.

Schmidt has introduced natural wood kitchen doors including a variety of designs and finishes that offer a range of permutations for the six designs that have been introduced into the UK market.
The manufacturer says that the new additions mean that it can offer a unique front with a choice of 1,000 different combinations, when taking into account the various options on colours, finishes and designs which include basic, brushed, sandblasted,
vintage effects, aged effects and grove patterns.
The finishes can be brushed or deep- grain sanded, both of which can also be specified in the vintage option which offers a distressed corner edge to give a look of antiquity. The doors are available in a contemporary matt lacquer or a full range of standard and customized painted colours.
