We had decided amongst the group to go canoeing and then rock climbing – oh yes, we were an adventurous bunch! We met up at the water’s edge and ventured

gingerly out in canoes and onto the river next to the centre. We had a fabulous morning paddling, playing games and trying not to get too soaked... that didn’t work too well initially, but with patient tutoring, we all gained much more confidence and were able to control and manoeuvre the canoe by the end of the session. What a great family morning led by Steve and two able assistants who were super friendly and excellent teachers.

Saturday afternoon and after packed lunch and tea we went off to Humphrey’s Head, a local area on Morecambe Bay, where we donned helmets for our rock climbing/hopping expedition. This was absolutely fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute...the girls had an absolute ball... even Rob said his two bruises were well worth it and we all learned about the infamous quick sands on Morecambe Bay.

Saturday evening and Steve gave an inspiring talk after another superb three course meal. We learnt so much more about the stars and myths and we all joined in and made our own Star Chart to take home with us. Relaxing after a fun-packed day with more cheese, biscuits and cake – we had definitely earned it – we decided, as a group, to have a go at the low rope course followed by a short walk on Sunday morning. It’s amazing how Rob can come over all Bear Grylls after a glass or two of vino!

Sunday 17th February This is was what Sunday mornings are made for! Families together enjoying themselves in beautiful surroundings and it was great fun. Everybody joined in and gave each other encouragement as we attempted the different parts of the course – the cargo nets, zip wire, ropes and much more. Brilliant! This was a fantastic, action-packed and character building experience that the whole family thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you very much to Steve and the rest of the team.
