Welcome to the first issue of HarvestMag—we’re so excited about this! The idea first began back in September 2012, and now 6 months later, we’ve finally reached the day we dreamed of. The process of starting a magazine was something that neither one of us was familiar with—the learning curve has been steep, but pursing through the difficulties has been worth it. We were overwhelmed by the notes of encouragement and support as they came in. Thank you all so much for being so supportive of HarvestMag! We pray that the magazine will be as much of a blessing to you all as it has been to both of us!
The first issue’s topic is “self-discipline.” The reason we decided upon this incredible topic is because we felt that it is a character trait lacking in so many lives. If we, as youth, can grasp its importance and implement it into our lives, we honestly believe that we will have a generation of youth who will be able to do great things, because our God greatly desires to do amazing things through His chosen people’s lives. He will impart a vision, but if we lack self-discipline, we will fail to follow through with it.
Reading through the submissions as they came in blessed us so much. We’ve grown enormously in our relationship with the Father and also with each other. We hope that you, too, are greatly encouraged by the articles that so many people have poured themselves into.
Right now, we’re opening comments below the magazine page for you all to let us and the authors know how the magazine has blessed you! Please feel free to use it to interact with others; we know it’s cumbersome right now—prayers for ideas and resources to make something more user-friendly would be greatly appreciated!

Also, a small note: We’ve tried our best to edit the magazine so as to keep it mistake-free (a huge thanks goes to our editors and proof-readers: Carmen, Leah, and Mia!).
