iscipline is something that we don’t honestly like much as youth. It is something that may make us mad and angry or may

be something that makes us cry and be confused.

We have this thought when we turn into youth that, for the most part, correction is this serious talk or punishment that happens over, and over, and over again as we grow up, because we do things wrong. However, YHVH’s correction has a different meaning, as we see in the Ancient Hebrew:

Musar מרסו

The secure chaos turns the head.

When we get disciplined, it does one of two things: turns us back to the right path or turns us further away from doing what’s right.

If it is YHVH doing the correction, most of the time it will be number one; however, if it is man doing the correction without YHVH’s Word involved, most of the time it will be number two.

YHVH’s Word is the ultimate instruction, as well as the ultimate discipline, correction, training, etc. The only time that YHVH’s Word doesn’t change people back to Him is when their eyes are blind and their hearts are hardened, like what happened with Pharaoh in Egypt or with the Jewish leaders in Yahshua and Shaul’s (Paul’s) days.

When that happens, it is because YHVH has a greater reason and

purpose than just for those people who’s hearts are hardened.

YHVH’s discipline and correction is also a sign of love. Yes, I said it. When you get corrected, it’s because someone loves you so much, and they just want what’s best for you. Where is this evidence that shows that correction

equals love? Well,

Yahshua says in Revelations 3:19, “As many as I love, I reprove and discipline. So be ardent and repent.” (The Scriptures)

And Solomon says in Proverbs 3:11-12, “My son, do not despise the discipline of YHVH, and do not loathe His reproof; for whom YHVH loves He reproves, as a father the son whom he delights in.”

Yahshua’s love in itself is an amazing

sign of correction.

There was a reason why He said that when someone hits you on one cheek, you need to give him the other. When someone does wrong to you, and you forgive him with love, despite the fact that he did wrong, that person will feel very wrong inside.

I’m sure some of us have felt that at one time or

another;

we know we did something wrong, the

but person

Now think of Yahshua. He didn’t have to die such an awful death. He could have called for fire to come down from heaven or for the earth to swallow all the people that had rejected Him and put Him on that cross. But He didn’t.

Instead, He said, “And Yahshua said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.’” (Luke 23:34)

He forgave them!! He didn’t have to. In fact, He wasn’t even supposed to be there. But He took it anyway. That’s true love.

Love isn’t some funny butterfly feeling inside your heart. It is an action that does everything. It corrects, it instructs, it leads, it follows, it blesses, it holds you tighter, it makes you fall apart. It is the ultimate discipline, the ultimate sign of forgiveness, the ultimate way we should live our lives.

Without Yah’s love we become nothing, and with Yah’s love we have everything we need.

...the ultimate way we

we wronged forgave us anyway. They don’t have to—and they sometimes don’t think they should—but they do it anyway.

should live our lives.”

And if we show YHVH’s love to others? They may love it, they may accept it, they may deny it, they may get mad, or they may even hurt us because they can’t stand it.

But there is one thing that they can never do,

and that is say that it isn’t Yah’s love! His love is unmatchable, uncontainable, indescribable, and most importantly, unchangeable! Love and discipline go hand in
