dealing with the root problems because that will demand a lot of hard work. Without this work, the real problems don’t get solved. Delaying the conflict only delays real
solutions.
We don’t ever want to be guilty of “control” rather than “trust.” Real trust causes a person to do the right thing on his own. Control causes us to do the right thing out of fear. Yahweh wants our trust based on His goodness, not based on fear of punishment. Being controlling never served anyone.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
Training means constant follow- up, correction, and perseverance. That is different from teaching, which is only the giving of information.
Training is the
practical, daily application of knowledge, something we must do in order to build family.
As we have patience within our families, we learn to extend
patience towards others. If we are quick-tempered, intolerant, or harsh within our family, that behavior is passed on to peers and also usually manifests itself in a lack of respect for self and others. Patience is how we want others to treat us. It’s an important Fruit of the Spirit which will result in showing mercy and tenderness to others.
One of the greatest strengths in my life has been the scriptures I learned as a child. Yahweh’s Word guides and comforts me throughout my journey with the Lord.
“Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee.” (Psalm 119:11)
“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105) •

about the author: I was born and raised in Pennsylvania on a family farm. My parents were called out from the Eastern Roman Catholic church to serve the Father. Through reading and studying the Bible, our small group of family and friends was shown the truth, to which I cling. I spent my childhood with my brother and sister learning the basics with my hands in the earth.
My wife of 30 years was raised in the church of the Nazarenes; upon marriage we both committed to follow the Father and Torah, thanking Him for the Messiah Yahshua in our lives. My wife and I celebrated Succoth (the feast of Tabernacles) this past season at Bear Trax Fellowship in Cannon City, Colorado. What a wonderful setting in the mountains of Colorado to worship the Father at His appointed feast. Praise Yah for bringing two bountiful families to the Father’s celebration this year. All of those present were truly blessed by being able to get to know the Bruno and Langford families.
I bless YAH and give Him the glory and strength due to His Name. Please join me in giving Him thanks.
