Filon Products Ltd & Gilkicker Ltd are currently undergoing a series of joint presentations at a number of DCE Exhibitions to demonstrate their incredible range of adaptable roof products over balconies, patios, terraces, courtyards, roof gardens, pool side shelters, outdoor play areas for school buildings and almost any other external area requiring weather protection.
Filon Finesse is a very simple yet effective and attractive glazing system. Its special multi-wall polycarbonate panels are hooked onto galvanised and plastic coated steel channels and firmly locked in place with special polycarbonate clip profiles. The steel channels are designed to provide very high rigidity and the system can be used for wide, unsupported spans. Available in clear and opal, Finesse is suitable for use as pitched and curved roof glazing for canopies, walkways and rooflights, as well as vertical glazing for internal and external glazed screens.
PITCHED GLAZING APPLICATIONS Due to the excellent water tightness of the patented locking system, high resistance to loads and low overall weight, the Filon Finesse system is particularly well suited to low-pitch roofing applications, as well as traditional northlights. A wide range of options regarding thermal insulation and load resistance can be obtained by combining various thicknesses of glazing panels and the two standard steel channel profiles.

CURVED GLAZING APPLICATIONS Filon Finesse offers excellent advantages in curved glazing applications with spans up to 8m depending on the radius of the curve. The curved steel channels and patented locking system provide extremely high load resistance, excellent water tightness and stability, with very low overall weight.
Filon Fastlock (left) is a simple and stylish click-together canopy solution manufactured from strong and resilient polycarbonate. The system offers exceptional design flexibility and incorporates a unique invisible, non penetrative fixing system.
Gilkicker’s Light ‘n’ Shade (right) is a flexible canopy system featuring adjustable louvres to provide shade or cover when required. The louvres can be supplied in white or cream aluminium, or light transmitting polycarbonates.
