We offer 80 to 100 different pro-
grams a year; some (like baseball, foot- ball and soccer skills training) change every 12 weeks while others (like mar- tial arts and dance) run for 12 months. This creates amazing variety for fami- lies. It also gives our partners a com- petitive edge because our programs are priced below market value (be- cause there is no cost for instructors to use our space). Reducing the cost of physical ac-
tivity is a critical component of our mission. We believe we will be able to get more families active with this approach. Parents also have the option for
their children to play in our funazium for three hours per day. This allows parents to drop them off before pro- grams start and pick them up well af- ter programs finish.
A hybrid centre Our Mississauga, Ontario, facil-
ity is 26,000 sq./ft. and includes four gymnasiums, a funazium (where our exergaming, sports simulators and re- action trainers are located), a fitness room, banquet room and a multi-pur- pose area. The facility is focused on sports
and recreation during the week, and it transforms into an entertainment cen- tre on the weekends. This allows us to host over 2,500 events a year includ- ing birthday parties, tournaments, re- citals, corporate events and seminars. Our large banquet room is a resource for our coaches and instructors where they can run program registration ses- sions (at no cost to them).
