JACKSON-TRIGGS OKANAGAN ESTATE WINERY was recognized for its 2008 Entourage Sparkling Chardonnay. The Honourable Steven Point, (then) Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia visited Jackson-Triggs Okanagan Estate in July to present Winemaker Derek Kontkanen and Vineyard Manager Troy Osborne with his award. Upon acceptance, Derek Kontkanen said, “I am very happy to host the Lieutenant Governor at Jackson-Triggs and to see our Sparkling Wine recognized for this important award. It is only with a great team of vineyard managers and cellar staff that this can be achieved.”

ROAD 13 VINEYARDS was awarded for its 2011 Jackpot Viognier Rousanne Marsanne. This wine is made from grapes grown at three different sites in the Similkameen and the Okanagan Valleys, and are the last white grapes to get picked. the bunches usually look ugly when they are ready... All grapes looked terrible and tasted fantastic on picking day!
