4 SPOTLIGHT ON MASTER TRAINERS

We mentioned in earlier issues the increasing number of students from abroad who were choosing EIF as their Personal Training Education Provider and we have featured some in our Spotlight on Master Trainer articles. This month we feature a newly qualified master Trainer who came to us from Japan and we hope to bring you news of her progress in future issues.

NAME AGE

SATOMI FUNYAMA I became a receptionist 36

GRADUATED OCTOBER 2012 COURSE AREA

What was your background before training with EIF and becoming a Master Trainer?

As I obtained my degree in tourism and information systems I started working in the travel industry such as travel agent, airport and at a football museum in Milan. My jobs were mainly based on the service oriented industry and I was involved in several international important events and exhibitions as a coordinator.

I changed my field to fitness 3 years ago. RESIDENTIAL NAGOYA JAPAN

at a hotel sports club and gym instructor at the same time when I was attending a PT course in my country. Then started to do a mobile PT and KAATSU trainer

Why did you decide you wanted to become a Personal Trainer?

I wanted to be independent and have a control on things I do. I wanted to be my product so that I am able to work anywhere I live and wanted to focus on what I love or enjoy rather than what I can do.

I also realise that I liked working actively with irregular hours than doing routine work. Staying fit and keeping in good shape was so important for me that fitness had always been my first
