Working with small groups means that I can also educate all my clients at the same time, getting my message across to a wider audience.

I do still pay very close attention to 1:1 sessions. The industry is beginning to move towards “semi-private” group training sessions, and although I agree with this and it is a great way to get my message out to a wider audience, I don’t think it can or will ever take the place of 1:1’s.

I also run short courses of 6 to 8 weeks for groups of 3-5. My most popular are my Kettlebell Course and How To Lift Like A Woman.

Why did you choose to set up your business this way?

When I worked for large gym chains I would sometimes work from 0600 – 2000, although I delivered over 30 sessions a week it left me feeling exhausted and run down. My business had started to revolve around me and how much time I could commit to certain days etc, the focus on my clients was slipping away, which is why I decided to set up independently.

This meant I could half the number of clients who I trained. I kept the clients that wanted to be there and that I had achieved huge success with and would continue to renew and refer for me.
