The Right Support Community-Based Services


Do you need support? We offer a range of services for people with a learning disability, which you can book at times and places to suit you. You can spend your personal budget, direct payments or your own money with Watford Mencap. You can also be referred by your social worker. Watford Mencap is on the Herts County Council Accredited Provider List.


Choices for Living ‘The right support to live every day the way you choose’


You can hire your own Personal Assistants with our help, according to your budget, and decide how they will support you. We will train, manage and pay them for you. This service is 24 hours a day, all year round.


Skills for Living


‘Individual learning support to help you achieve your potential’


We will support you to learn all you can, which could help you to live in a home of your own. You might want to take a bus, get money from a cash machine, go shopping or cook.


If you need a short period of help and support to learn, this service could be for you. You can use Skills for Living from 8am-8pm Mon-Fri, for a minimum of 12 weeks in 2-hourly blocks.
