DAY 1: Sunday - Frankfurt.Arrival at Frankfurt airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore at your leisure. Frankfurt is the financial and commercial heart of Germany, with a fascinating contrast between the modern and historic. Accommoda- tion at the Hotel Mövenpick Frankfurt City****. At 7pm, you will meet your guide at the welcome dinner at the hotel. DAY 2: Monday - Frankfurt - Heidelberg - Freiburg. In the morning you travel to Heidelberg to visit the famous castle. Tour of the historic city center. Idyllically located on the shores of the Neckar River, Heidelberg is Germany’s oldest university town and one of the most popular destinations in the country. We continue the tour to Freiburg. Accommodation at the Park Hotel Post or similar. DAY 3: Tuesday - Freiburg - Lake Titi - Lindau - Füssen.After break- fast you enjoy a sightseeing tour of lovely Freiburg, famous for its beautiful church tower. Then we continue to Lake Titi, nestled in the legendary Black Forest. Make your own Schwarzwalder Kirchtort and savor it afterwards with a cup of coffee and watch a short presentation on the cuckoo clock production.Visit the small island of Lindau in Lake Constance, which boasts spectacular views of the Alps. After a brief stop, we conclude our day in Füssen. Accommodation at the Hotel Hirsch or similar. DAY 4:Wednesday -Neuschwanstein - Wieskirche - Oberammergau - Ettal Abbey - Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In the morning we visit Neuschwanstein castle, built by Ludwig II, the notorious „Mad King“. In the afternoon we travel to Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play and lovely crafts. Along the way we visit the Wieskirche Church before continuing the tour to the Ettal Benedictine Abbey. Today‘s final destination is Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany’s winter sports capital and site of the 1936 winter Olympics. This mountainous region is also home to Germany’s highest peak, Zugspitze (9.715 ft). Accommodation at the Atlas Grand Hotel****. DAY 5: Thursday - Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Innsbruck - Linderhof - Munich. In the morning we enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city of

Innsbruck, Austria, located in the Inn valley, in the heart of the Alps. An optional excursion (instead of Innsbruck, not included) is to ascend to the top of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak. In the afternoon we travel to Munich and visit Linderhof castle. This is one of the 3 castles built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria and the only one where he lived for a significant amount of time. Accommodation at the Hotel Rheinischer Hof or similar DAY 6: Friday - Munich.After breakfast you visit the city‘s main at- tractions, concluding the tour at the Marienplatz square with its fa- mous clock tower. The capital of Bavaria, Munich is famous for ist Oktoberfest, which is actually celebrated in September. Free time. In the evening you enjoy a traditional Bavarian dinner with folk music. Accommodation at the Hotel Excelsior or similar. DAY 7: Saturday - Munich - Zurich. Breakfast at the hotel. Around noon transfer to the train station. Travel by train from Munich to Zurich. Upon arrival in Zurich transfer to your hotel. Accommoda- tion at the Hotel Swissôtel Zürich****. DAY 8: Sunday - Zurich. In the morning you enjoy a sightseeing tour of Zurich and its main monuments. Take in the fabulous views of the Alps and Lake Zurich from the Höhenstrasse. We will stop briefly in Rapperswil, the quaint City of Roses. On our way back to Zurich you enjoy a lovely cruise on Lake Zurich (no guide). Arrival at Zürich- Bürkliplatz. Make your own way back to the hotel. Accommodation at the Hotel Swissôtel Zürich****. DAY 9: Monday - Zurich - Luzern - Mount Titlis - Interlaken. Departure for Luzern. Short sightseeing tour and free time to explore on your own. At noon we continue to Engelberg. Take the rotating Rotair cable car to the top of Mount Titlis and its spectacu- lar glacier. From an elevation of 9.800 ft, visitors enjoy spectacular views of the Central Alps. In the afternoon we continue to Brienz and visit the local wood carvers. Our next destination is Interlaken at the foot of Mount Jungfrau. Accommodation at the Hotel Royal St. Georges****.
