looking out of the panel (which is viewed as two rows of ten prints, one above the other). She is turning her back on the other 19 images and all they hold, and bathed in golden light, she is free and stepping into her future.
The technical side
Never before has the technical side of photography interested me. A camera’s just a camera and that will do for me. And then I found myself shooting with the Hasselblad H4D, and the sweetest love affair of all time began between a technophobe and technol- ogy. The True Focus button is

absolute genius, and I wonder why no-one had ever thought of it before.
The dynamic range – well,
it’s true, the dynamic range capability’s something I never really took much notice of until now and I have to say, it is superior. I love it. The fact that you can only shoot raw files makes you into a better pho- tographer, though Hasselblad has introduced my familiar JPEG shooting with their new model the H5D. The Phocus software is simple to use.
As a long-term 35mm format user I’ve only ever looked at the Hasselblad as a product so out of my reach it was pointless thinking about picking one up.
