Penningtons Solicitors LLP has advised on the sale of Camberley Auto Factors (CAF), southern England’s number one motor factor and distributor of quality motor spares, car spares and car parts, to Andrew Page Acquisitions, a Leeds-based vehicle parts distributor.


A family business, CAF has supplied motor components for British, European and Asian cars for over 45 years and has 26 branches across the south of England with a further five locations housing the company’s specialist divisions.


The deal is part of Andrew Page’s national expansion programme, increasing the number of branches to 90 and making the company one of the largest independent spares distribution businesses in the UK.


Led by Guildford corporate partner and head of corporate Simon Bickerdike, the Guildford and Basingstoke- based Penningtons team advised the shareholders throughout the sale.


Penningtons also advised on the tax, employment and property aspects of the transaction.
