What incentives and packages can you offer me for group business? Currently within the local market we are offering a package for meetings that includes the 2012 World Travel Awards leading villa category, the Al Rimal Deluxe Pool Villa. As an added-value incentive, bookers can select one of the following: a 30-minute group welcome cocktail; one coffee break; one hour of yoga; or one hour of entertainment from either our resident oud player or belly dancer. Alternatively, smaller meeting and incentive
events can be held at the Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach, where guests are ferried on a private boat from the main shoreline to the 32 beachfront-villa resort, situated on a private sandy peninsula along the Arabian Gulf. Guests also have access to the dedicated Banyan Tree Spa Al Wadi with six treatment pavilions and the Sands restaurant and terrace, featuring international cuisine overlooking an infinity-edged swimming pool. There’s also a water-sports centre offering various activities for aquatic adventures.
Banyan Tree Al Wadi’s 180-square-metre Banyan Hall can accommodate a reception of up to 140 guests. Equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment and LCD projects, further staff support can be provided by specially trained services associates. The prop- erty has two meeting rooms and each can be partitioned into a space seating up to 60 delegates. A pre-conference area can also be converted into a coffee break lounge, lunch or dining area.
Leisure facilities
Banyan Tree Ras Al Khaimah Beach offers a selection of recreational activities such as snorkelling, water skiing, wake boarding and sailing in the shimmering turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf. Schooner chartering, fishing and scuba diving trips can also be organ- ised. Guests who prefer the private beach may also lounge in comfort at the beach bar.
From educational classes in desert flora and fauna to learning how to hunt using falcons and indigenous owls at the falconry centre, guests can participate in a multitude of activities, including horse riding, camel safaris, archery, mountain cycling and trekking. The resort is also nestled within the Al Wadi Nature Reserve, a protected area that covers over 100 hectares, where guests can see desert wildlife, including gazelles and the endangered Arabian oryx.
