Cornwall Food & Drink Festival will be returning to Truro on 28-30 September 2012 with a jam-packed timetable celebrating the cream of Cornish
produce.The event, now in its ninth year, attracted in excess of 43,000 visitors in 2011, and with around 60 exhibitors and a packed timetable there is plenty to excite FOODLOVERs this year. In the Chefs’ Theatre, culinary stars will be demonstrating their talents and using Cornwall’s finest produce to cook up mouth-watering dishes, including two-starred Michelin chef Nathan Outlaw who will be sharing his tips on how to create stunning dishes using fresh Cornish seafood. The Funky Food Zone will be crammed with food facts, quirky hands-on activities and all-out food fun for children, while the

SOUTH WEST SMOKERY LAUNCHES
TWO NEW PRODUCTS Brown and Forrest, a small family run Somerset smokery, have launched two new products: smoked mackerel paté and smoked scallops. Both products are sure to be a hit and add more depth to the already substantial range of quality products. The paté is crafted using
naturally smoked mackerel and a simple recipe, while the scallops are shown just enough smoke as not to overpower their sweet natural flavour. Both products will be on sale by mail order from October, and you can find more information at

SEPTEMBER The Frome Agricultural and Cheese Show and Global Cheese Awards are taking place in Somerset on September 8, with the idyllic Somerset countryside providing the perfect backdrop to learn everything you ever wanted to know about cheeses from around the World. A great day out for all the family, the show will not only enable you to learn about cheese but taste them first hand! Expert cheese graders will share their tips on pairing cheeses with other flavours and drinks for delicious results, TV chef Lesley Waters will demonstrate how to create delicious cheesy recipes and there will be a host of other rural activities to enjoy including livestock shows, a funfair for children and plenty of opportunities to buy locally sourced produce, foods and gifts.
