While the weather has not been kind to this year’s hay crops, it certainly provided us with some great weather for the July barrel shows. The Bonfield Barrel Race held on July 14th and 15th had fantastic weather and a solid turn out of competi- tors. A big OBRA thank you to the Bonfield Agricultural Soci- ety for hosting this show, not only was there was an awesome sea pie and baked bean meal; they had a beer tent and music. We would also like to extend our thanks to Applitek who was the major sponsor for the weekend as well as Dodge RAM and Arn- stein Lawn and Garden. Kudos also go out to Laurie Fisher, the show manager for the Bonfeild show, a great time was had by all. Josiah Clingen on Sure Dash was the big winner of the weekend taking home the big paycheque for both the Applitek 4D $1000 added and Open 4D RAM! Please check out for full show results.

OBRA’s August shows are plenty! August 4th and 5th is our Northern Barrel Race in New Liskeard, August 10th and 11th is our BURMAC show being held at the Erin Fairgrounds followed by our OBRA Member’s show on August 12, also at Erin.

Beautiful summer weather continued for the Zurich show on

The Thorne’s are welcoming people to arrive on the Friday night and we exhibitions and open riding will be held that night. All timer issues have been resolved with the help of the folks at Farmtek and we are super excited to see everyone there! Stalls can be purchased for $45 for the weekend. Please pre book with Christine Thorne (519-324- 5880)
