increasing the value of the re- lationship is ensur- ing that cli- ents always get what
they are paying for: results. Personal trainers with a results-driven focus can strongly impact member success and retention. This focus requires three consistent practices from the trainer: integrity, goal-setting and accountability. Integrity starts with trainers being
very clear on what their clients can ex- pect from their training and then stay- ing within the scope of their certifi- cation. Creating a team environment where trainers are encouraged to draw on the strengths of their fellow train- ers (and perhaps pass clients along) can help to avoid situations where trainers promise results they are not qualified to deliver.
