Clay Studio. A small group of clay enthusiasts is forming to begin a kiln and plans to dig a pit kiln—with planning underway for a ful- - ing pottery or sculpting in clay, contact Anne Rule-Thompson at

CraftWorks in Action: A Polymer Clay/Mixed Media Community. This is a gathering for community artists working in polymer clay/ mixed media to be able to work together in our studio, network, and learn from each other. Sessions include guest artists who share brief lessons. Come enjoy the company of other artists and

Sustainability. - - Self. There will be sessions on backyard poultry, starting an or- chard, yoga, food preservation, nutrition and more. The weekend to help plan the weekend and/or get involved in sustainability -

Drawing and Painting Group. By popular demand! Join Judy artists who draw or paint. All levels welcome; no experience nec- essary! It’s a relaxing time to connect with other creative people a demo and inspirational talk about the creative process, fol- lowed by studio time with individual instruction available, then a closing gathering and critique. Bring something to work on, and

Improvisational Songwriting Teaching Artist: Johnny Neel June 30 Improvisational songwriters key- board workshop with Grammy nomi- nee Johnny Neel. Johnny will show you hands-on approaches to crafting your song and add- ing some creative funk. This blind keyboard master will open groove.
Plein Aire Adventures Teaching Artist: Catherine Hillis July 21 & 22 Have you ever wanted to learn how to paint outdoors in a beautiful location? This two day workshop is for you! Partici- pants will learn to paint outdoors in the scenic landscape of Cool Spring. Beginners through intermediates: Join Cath- erine Hillis and learn how to paint “en plein aire!” Bring all your skills together to capture the essence of devising good design, simplifying what you see and putting it down on pa- per. Learn to select a location, simplify the view and paint the landscape around you.
Writing for Page & Stage Teaching Artist: Grace Cavalieri August 25 & 26
