Reined Cow Horse Crawford Wins NRCHA
Hackamore Classic The action at the 2012 Na-
tional Reined Cow Horse Associ- ation Hackamore Classic in Pueblo, Colorado, began Thurs- day, May 3 and ended May 6 as Moms Silverado Cat was an- nounced as the winner. Moms Sil- verado Cat was piloted to the NRCHA Hackamore Classic Open Championship by longtime trainer Todd Crawford. The pair won a big check for $13,676. Crawford and Moms Silverado Cat also had the high score of the horse show Open Hackamore, which garnered an additional $3,240. Owned by Rhodes River Ranch, Moms
Silverado Cat, by High Brow Cat out of Moms Stylish Pepto, made his Hackamore Classic debut with the second high herd work score - a 145.5. Zane Davis and Chickarey were the
Open Reserve Champions with a composite score of 437.5, and won $10,941. Chickarey, by Dual Rey out of Sonita Lena Chick, is owned by John Semanik. With a final composite score of 434, Brad
Lund and Wright On Tari took the NRCHA Hackamore Classic Intermediate Open and Open Novice Horse Championships! All total, the pair took home $11,851 (including money won for a sixth place tie in the Open). Jay Holmes and Ima Downtown Cat, by
Downtown Cat out of Lil Quixote Badger, were the Intermediate Open Reserve Cham- pions with a score of 430.5. The win netted a check for $3,128 for owner IMA Partnership LLC.

Hackamore Classic Non Pros Toni Hagen-Heath and Smokums Dream
won both the Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro Hackamore Classic championships, as well as the horse show Non Pro Hackamore! All total, Hagen-Heath won $7,301. "I'm so excited! This was only our fourth
show in the Hackamore and she was so good," Heath said of the mare, by Smokums Prize out of I Dream Olena, who was raised by her hus- band Dan Heath. Anne Reynolds and Very Shiney took
home $3,348 for the Non Pro Hackamore Clas- sic Reserve Championship, and $1,063 for the Non Pro Hackamore horse show Reserve title. Very Shiney is by Very Smart Remedy out of Shirley Shine. Garth Gardiner and Shiney Remedy were
the Intermediate Non Pro Hackamore Classic Reserve Champions, winning a cool $1,674. The pair also won the Championship of the Novice Non Pro and Amateur, worth an addi- tional $1,980. Shiney Remedy is by Very Smart Remedy out of Shiners Miss Hickory. Janiejill Tointon and Digger She Sparkles
