For those of you who don’t know me, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Claire Peacock and after a few months of being surrounded by toys and learning fi rsthand what little ones are truly interested in, I’ve returned from my maternity leave to lead the UK & Ireland Toys and Stationery team. I’m really looking forward to working with you on all our exciting projects and build on the great work that the team has already achieved.

Claire Peacock Director, Toys and Stationery, UK & Ireland, The Walt Disney Company

Both our Disney and Marvel brands are poised to achieve great success over the coming months with new, innovative content being launched as well as interesting initiatives being put in place across The Walt Disney Company to support our key characters and franchises. We feel very privileged to be working with such a broad and attractive portfolio of properties and want to ensure that all our partners take advantage of these opportunities to leverage our new content, product and integrated platforms to maximise results.

2012 / 2013 will see the launch of new content from Disney/ Pixar, Walt Disney Studios, Disney Junior, Marvel and more. During this period we plan to continue supporting Disney’s ‘evergreen’ franchises including Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh and Disney Princess through integrated marketing and retail opportunities which leverage cross-company platforms. In the coming pages you will also be able to learn about new properties which have originated from less traditional channels, such as Where is my Water? (a mobile app) or Club Penguin (a virtual world for kids) demonstrating the creativity and strength of Disney’s characters and stories.

I hope you fi nd this supplement useful and informative. Please do get in touch if you have any questions or would like any further information about our properties.

Finally, I’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all our licensee and retail partners for your continued support and making this success possible. We feel very proud of all the successes achieved so far and we look forward to many more in the year to come!

Best regards, Claire Peacock
