Acupuncture Wellness Center Opens in Hershey T


he Acupuncture Wellness Center has opened at 102 West Chocolate Avenue, in Hershey. Owned by Jill Levine, the center provides acupuncture and therapeutic massage services.


Levine takes a holistic approach to treatment and specializes in pain manage- ment. In addition to acupuncture and a variety of massage styles, other treatments include craniosacral therapy, reflexology, breathing techniques, moxibustion (the burning of a Chinese herb), Tui Na and cupping. She also offers yoga instruction that is limited to groups of three people or less.


Levine has a master’s degree in clinical psychology and practiced as a family therapist in Pennsylvania before becoming a licensed acupuncturist in Pennsyl- vania and Florida, a licensed massage therapist and a registered yoga instructor. She graduated from the Acupuncture College, in Miami, and also interned at Shu Guang Hospital, in Shang Hai, China.

YMCA Seeks Support for Annual Campaign T


he YMCA annual support campaign is coming to a close on May 31. As a nonprofit organization, the Harrisburg area YMCA raises money to ensure every- body has the opportunity to participate in a membership or program of the Y, regardless of the ability to pay.

meditation, a raffle, food and fun—all to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. All instructors and co-spon- sors are donating their time, talents and resources to give participants a day to learn, re-energize, relax and enjoy. Guests will have the opportunity to try out 12 different yoga classes and a West African dance class; learn about bodywork, nutrition, yoga and medita- tion; and sample healthy food throughout the day prepared by Chef Kellie Tikkun, owner of Mandala Meals. The evening will close with Dances for Universal Peace. Each event will be by donation. St. Jude Children’s Research Hos- pital opened on February 4, 1962, with a mission to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. The support of the public helps to ensure that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospi- tal will continue its lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children.
