Zee News is upgrading its news produc- tion and playout facility in New Delhi with an integrated Harris broadcast solution. The system’s components include Nexio Amp servers and Nexio Farad online storage systems, to improve bandwidth and storage capa- bilities across Zee News’ production workflow, and help the 24-hour news channel meet the language needs of its regional audiences.

Production services company Indomedia Pekar Sentosa has added slow-motion replay to its offering with the Zeplay multichannel instant-replay platform from Tightrope Media Systems. The four-in, four-out HD server provides variable-speed replay. It continually records four 100Mbps HD streams and provides replays from any or all of them at the same time without interrupting the recording.

Vinten and Vinten Radamec are equip- ping Oman TV’s new studios in Muscat with pedestals and heads in a deal worth £830,000. The order includes Vinten’s Quartz Two pedestals, Vector 750 and the Vision 100 pan and tilt heads, as well as Vinten Radamec’s FH-100 Fusion heads and FP-188 robotic pedestals. Sony Pro- fessional Solutions MEA is responsible for the system integration for Oman TV’s new £43m broadcast complex.

Free-to-air broadcaster Seven Network has invested in an Enterprise sQ news production system for its Queensland HQ. The main system will be installed at its base in Maroochydore to allow editors in the regional bureaux to produce localised content. The sQ server at the heart of the system includes 200 hours of storage and supports 10 sQ View and sQ Edit journal- ist editors, and one of Quantel’s next- generation Qube craft editors.
