And you know we show people these things during our tour of the install bay.

TEST FUNCTIONALITY BEFORE REASSEMBLY There is nothing worse than going to show a cus- tomer how to use the new radio you just installed and
some feature doesn’t work right. It is embarrassing for the installer, discouraging for the customer and costly for the busi-
ness in terms of both time spent taking the vehicle back apart to fix it and loss of customer excitement. You can bet they will tell their friends about that! It is easy to be so sure that every feature of the alarm you just installed is going to work flawlessly because you’ve done hundreds, right? Before we put the vehicle back together and finish the job, we check the functionality of every component so we can avoid this situation all together. Testing everything before reassembly increases efficiency by eliminating the possibility of having to pull the vehicle back around to fix it, which takes an installer off of the next job, thus creating two upset customers. ■
