BOYS & THEIR JOYSTICKS
BIOSHOCK: INFINITE There’s a whole new chapter in the BioShock
series taking you to a floating city in the sky. The first-person shooter has role-playing game elements similar to that of the previous two titles and is set in early 1900s. Rips in the space/time fabric, menac- ing zeppelins and a jealous robotic bird are all part of Irrational Games’ next title. For a game that still doesn’t have much leaked about it, we are definitely anxiously awaiting to hear and see more about this title. TBA 2012
DIABLO III The next installment in theDiablo series,Diablo III,
is returning with similar style elements to its prede- cessorDiablo II. It will feature multi-player games and players will be able to drop in and out of sessions of co-operative play with others. Deckard Cain returns as a NPC along with his niece Leah who will some- times accompany the hero in his quests from time to time. The horror/dark fantasy themed game is slated to bring more intense hack and slash elements, in town skill swapping and of course, the need to level up! TBA 2012
MASS EFFECT 3 For Xbox 360 gaymers, BioWare takes on the Kinect challenge of gameplay withMass Effect 3! They leave the gesture recognition behind in favor of a wide array of voice commands which integrate into the action seamlessly. This is a huge advantage for RPG gaymers by not having to open the power wheel, for instance, to order your squadmates around. Now instead with voice command, it allows you to do so while simultaneously continued firing downrange, thus improving your overall battle effectiveness. With all the intense gameplay, split second decisions to be made and rapid gunplay, it is a must have for the year. The Kinect compatibility only adds to Mass Effect 3’s appeal. Due Out March 2012

STREET FIGHTER X TEKKEN Now, I am BIG in the fighting genre department
and have been anticipating this game person- ally since 2010 when it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con and with very good reason. When you pit two successful franchises in a crossover battle with each of their most famous characters duking it out, you’ve clearly got a formula for some edgy, bad-ass bouting—sure to have your thumbs cramping due to endless hours of gameplay. What gaymer wouldn’t want to see Street Fighter characters Ryu and Chun-LI go head to head with Tekken’s very own Jin Kazama and Ling Xiaoyu? The gameplay will be based on the second fighting style of Street Fighter with familiar mechanics like super combos and EX at- tacks. The PS3 and PS Vita versions will have exclusive characters such as Cole MacGrath of the Infamous series and the blue bomber himself,Mega Man! I Effin’ dig it. Due Out March 2012
RESIDENT EVIL 6 The debut trailer recently releasedResident Evil 6,
has gaymers anxiously awaiting the next installment in the series, which hits shelves onMarch 20th, even more so thanResident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Here’s why folks: For starters Capcom has stated “there aiming to deliver the most impressive Resident Evil title ever, both in terms of scope and production value.” When you have a development team of more than 600 we wouldn’t expect any less (which btw makes it Capcom’s biggest production to date). Of course its back full throttle, with it’s typically spectacular creatures coming at you from all angles, in many intriguing locations, tie that together with fantastic co-op and a full blown cover system and you’re ready for gnarly notion of gun play in motion! Due Out November 2012
Oh how we love that feeling of nostalgia—
coming home from school and going straight to our NES, SEGA, or Super Nintendo, popping in a cartridge and sitting so close to the TV screen our eyes burned and were so dry we could hardly blink. Remember that? Well here are some old favorites that did that to us:
5.Super Mario Bros 3 - We always hoped to get the suit with the cute tail that for some reason allowed us to turn to stone. 4.Duck Hunt- The red gun and that hard clicking sound that didn’t allow you to play late at night because your parents would wake up. 3. Mega Man 3- Such iconic and memorable scores, this game had. Remember when you beat “Top Man “ and acquired his power? Once you used it you spun around like a ballerina... Queen!
2.Street Fighter II Turbo - Chun-Li Learned how to use a fireball and
we could finally play as the four bosses from the original Street
Fighter II. Didn’t you love Vega? He was the gayest, “non-gay” character around at the time. Totally hot, tall, banging body, beautiful hair and the most conceited fighter around! Yeah he’s a low-key one of us...
1.The Legend of Zelda – It’s Zelda dammit, need I say more?
