Bathroom manufacturers were also the focus for The Sleep Event’s one-day ‘Made In Italy’ showcase, hosted by Assobagno in partnership with I Saloni. Representatives from a selection of Italy’s leading brands, including Teuco, Jacuzzi Europe, Rapsel, and Inda were on hand to introduce their products in intimate one-to-one meetings.


EXHIBITORS


Over 150 handpicked exhibitors used The Sleep Event as a platform to launch their latest designs and announce new projects. Villeroy & Boch showcased its 360° service, a new concept aimed at professional planners, architects and developers; Swiss bathroom manufacturer Laufen exhibited for the first time to unveil its Palace and Living Square collections designed specifically for hotels; Bette presented its BetteOne Relax bathtub shaped like a reclining chair; and Hansgrohe showed a selection of new products from its Hansgrohe and Axor brands to inspire specifiers looking for high quality designs that meet the demanding requirements of the hotel sector.


In the centre of the main exhibition floor, Morgan Furniture unveiled the bold and contemporary Metro chairs with button back detail; Encompass exhibited designs from one of Europe’s largest outdoor furniture manufacturers, Royal Botania; Twyford announced the innovative Rimfree WC; and


Mivan announced securing the c£3.5m contract to fit-out ME London, a new development from Melia Hotels.


Gemma Butler, Brand Director, commented on the event’s positive outcome and took the opportunity to announce further international expansion following the successful launch of a conference for the Indian hotel market: “We’re extremely pleased to have welcomed so many visitors to this year’s event.
