“the most business-efficient and dynamic
event for the hospitality industry.” Allain Taillander, Account Director, Hotels, Artemide

rewarding event ever. ” Dora Tokai – Ministry of Design
Asia’s hotel project people find their forum
The 3rd HI Design ASIA was a sell out weeks before the meetings began. 73 Buyer and 73 Supplier companies officially made it. This 24% increase over last year has seen this very special forum reach near-capacity in just 3 years. Over 2 days and 3 evenings, 1558 official private meetings took place. Buyers meeting Suppliers to discuss live, confirmed projects. In an unprecedented gathering of the highest profile designers, architects, owners, operators, procurement firms and suppliers/solution providers, one can only guess how many more unofficial ‘interesting conversations’ took place.
It’s not just a case of tantalising with big brands: Starwood, Hilton, Shangri-la, Fairmont, Alila to name-drop just a few. It’s who represents that matters. HI Design only invites senior decision makers on both sides. Top design and build professionals looking for the right Supplier partners.

If it’s the big Design Agencies you’re chasing, you will catch them at HI Design: LRF, Bilkey Llinas, Wilson all sent senior specifiers. HBA were taking no chances, making sure 3 of their Asia Pacific offices were suitably represented. It’s a good job Michael Bedner was also there himself to keep an eye on things. Interviewed by our very own Guy Dittrich, Michael set the tone for an inspiring and deeply thought- provoking seminar programme. A standing ovation no less and more than one bleary eye in the house. Professor Michael Braungart was equally compelling. Partnered by Raefer Wallis, Founder of the GIGA foundation, we were given real insight, direction and motivation towards realising the Cradle-to-Cradle principles of truly sustainable practices. 11 of our attending Suppliers have already volunteered for full GIGA assistance. There’s no doubt such accreditation will win further favour amongst the specifying community.
Serving Asia and EMEA regions, HI Design brings the hotel project people together. In a business built on relationships, it’s where the clever money is.
