teignbridge estates beComes wood’s Teignbridge Estates, team estate agent in Chudleigh, Devon, has recently completed its rebrand as an office of Wood’s Estate Agents & Auctioneers. Teignbridges Estates’ owner,
Andy Pounsberry FNAEA, became a co-owner of the Wood’s group over three years ago; when the businesses integrated to operate as one and the rebranding of the Chudleigh office completes the process. Working with Andy in the office
is his son Sam Pounsberry MNAEA, lettings manager Angie Richards MARLA and secretaries/ administrators, Margaret Sampson and Sherry Harvey, who all live in the town.

Four more For Countrywide
Countrywide Residential Lettings has made a further four business acquisitions in the last four months, taking the number of lettings acquisitions to eleven in 2011. The latest acquisitions are
the lettings portfolio of Benjamin Oliver Estates in Derby, plus Mike Jolly Estates in Sheffield and Rotherham, the portfolio of Hamptons in Warrington and the well- respected Lincoln agency, Lighthouse Properties. Benjamin Oliver Estates’
portfolio has been transferred to the city centre Frank Innes office. Further north, the portfolio
of local agents Hamptons in Warrington was transferred across to the Stockton Heath
branch of Bridgfords, and the purchase of the large Yorkshire lettings business Mike Jolly Estates with two branches managing hundreds of properties across the Rotherham and Sheffield area.
Finally, the purchase of Lighthouse Property Services, ideally positioned in the centre of Lincoln, extends Countrywide’s student lettings offering, with a portfolio of over 600 properties, which range from new build apartments to large student houses and Victorian terraces. Tim Clark, Managing

Hml aCquires sCotts HML Holdings Plc (AIM: HMLH) a major provider of property management, insurance and ancillary services to residential property blocks, has acquired the business and assets of Scotts of Putney for £1.9 million. Scotts is a firm of Managing Agents and Surveyors, established in 1976, specialising in residential lettings and block management with their associated professional property services. Scott’s current portfolio consists of 3,000 units under management, situated mainly in Central and West London. The team of surveyors, property managers and support staff will become part of HML Shaw Limited, HML’s Richmond based subsidiary. The business will remain in its two offices in Putney retaining the Scotts brand, in due course becoming HML Scotts. This latest acquisition forms part of HML’s ongoing expansion programme, providing the Company with a strengthened presence in prime London. Robert Plumb, Chief Executive of HML, said: “This acquisition is consistent with our strategy to consolidate our presence in focused geographical areas by acquiring and integrating businesses with strong underlying portfolios. In Scotts we have found a partner that fulfils this criterion and has the quality of service culture that is entirely compatible with our own. We are delighted to welcome Scotts to the HML group.”
