Typically MEI goes to market by encouraging decisions to run a comparison of competitive products called a VAT (value-added trial). As MEI has over the last decade established itself as the leading supplier of bill acceptors to Casinos in Europe could you explain to our readership what would be involved for those operators that have CASHFLOW SC and SC Advance and possibly a mix of a few other makes from different manufacturers in up grading to Easitrax?
When designing SC Advance, it was important to MEI to reward past investment in its products. The modular design of the MEI product portfolio allows operators to select the best product mix for the application. SC Advance is not only compatible with previous versions, but also with product extensions that have expanded the reach of bill acceptors from the slot machine to the entire cash management process. Operators that use CASHFLOW SC can upgrade to SC Advance and EASITRAX Soft Count with a simple upgrade kit and future purchases can be ordered with the hardware preinstalled.
There have been a fair number of additions to your European personnel what would you say are your prime objectives set for your new team?
The MEI team are all customer-minded individuals who are passionate about delivering great products and the best service to our customers. It is my responsibility as a leader to ensure that they reach their targets, grow professionally and understand that I am here as a resource for them to draw upon.
Over the last decade the gaming industry has seen a rapid growth in bill Validators with MEI being very much at the forefront of this. What where the factors for this, as with your previous experiences you will be very well placed to provide reasons.

What are the opportunities and challenges for the Validator industry over the next 5 to 10 years?
The validation market is under constant pressure to have the fastest speed and acceptance rates without sacrificing security. Recently, the gaming industry has been defining its requirements for recyclers. MEI is an expert in recycling; its current product portfolio consists of a 66mm fixed-width single denomination recycler, CASHFLOW VNR, which is used in the American Vending market. Its high end four denomination recycler, MEI BNR, is fit for casino bill breakers and has already been adopted and implemented in European markets such as Germany, Spain and Italy.
